Outlast™ 1.2.6

The game involves two participants competing using a single iPhone®. The objective is to be the last person to touch the screen; the individual who maintains contact the longest is declared the winner. The loser faces the consequence of tweeting a message composed by the victor. Can you outlast your opponent?

A draw is possible only if both players lift their fingers from the screen simultaneously, resulting in no tweets being shared. Additionally, if the device is moved too rapidly, both players lose—this triggers a failure state where neither can win or tweet.

Outlast can be played without Twitter™ integration for private stakes determined beforehand by both players, encouraging creative customizations.

Two distinct modes are available:

1. Twitter Match – Each participant logs into Twitter within the app and crafts a potential tweet directed at their opponent. The outcome of the game dictates which message is publicly posted; the loser’s account tweets the winner’s message, or if both players fail, each account tweets the other's message. In case of a tie, no tweets are shared.
2. Match – Players agree on stakes prior to beginning. These may involve personal rewards or consequences, tailored to the individuals involved, adding a layer of strategic engagement.

Outlast offers several features:

• Stats – View detailed outcomes, including the duration of recent matches, total matches played, and the longest-lasting game.
• Options – Default settings include hints for newcomers and sound effects, both adjustable via the app menu according to user preference.

The game is compatible with iPod touch®, contingent upon a stable Wi-Fi connection for Twitter-based matches.
